TÜV Certified Functional Safety for Machine Builder
Information
Our training course on functional safety of machinery provides a comprehensive overview of the detailed aspects involved in developing applications for use in safety-related machinery, including industrial machinery, safety-related programmable control systems, robot controllers and more. This training course is designed to give participants a fundamental understanding of the principles, techniques and measures involved in functional safety. In addition to practical examples, the functional safety standards IEC 62061 and ISO 13849 are covered. We provide participants with the knowledge they need to program, integrate and safely operate safe machines. We also address legal aspects related to functional safety within the framework of the Machinery Directive and the new Machinery Regulation.
The training lasts a total of 2 days and is held in person and virtually (hybrid).
The training includes practical exercises on most topics. After the training, you can take an online exam. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate.
This training course benefits various professionals, including project managers, system engineers, industrial control system programmers, system validators, CE managers, etc., who are involved in the implementation of functional safety for machinery. It is particularly valuable for manufacturers, system integrators and operators who are either encountering this topic for the first time or are looking for a refresher with the latest updates based on the current state of the art (e.g. the new edition of ISO 13849:2023 or the new Machinery Directive).
Upon completion of this training, you will be able to understand the concepts related to the use of safety applications in the machine sector. You will gain a practical understanding of the standard requirements (ISO 13849 and IEC 62061) that can be applied to real machines. In addition, you will be able to interact with notified bodies and other third-party organizations on functional safety issues.
